The Story Closet will always follow all local and CDC guidelines with regard to protecting staff and students from Covid-19. Teachers and entertainers are fully vaccinated, and we are open to the public. However, we know some children and those under 12 years may not be vaccinated and still require to wear a mask. Masks mandates are in effect for all adults and children and this will be adhered to. Also, you may book the shop to your group, family, or just for yourself, if available.
We wipe down all tools and spray all surfaces- hard and soft between each class with professional grade cleaner. We also have hand sanitizer on a touchless dispenser.
Yes, all materials used are non-toxic in our workshops. Some foam classes may use strong glues – but those will be taught outside- and not in the shop. Also, although Resin is considered non-toxic, a mask is available for those that choose to wear one. We do ask to sign a waiver for some classes due to tools that could create an injury such as hot glue, heat gun, or other. This will be disclosed in the class description so that you are aware of it before signing up.
